Family Homes and Condominiums - Newly developed private homes where clients live in a family type environment sharing responsibilities of maintaining their environment while receiving support services from Kadima. Intended to be a long term option for clients.

Kadima Plus

This partnership between Kadima and Jewish Family Service provides support services to seniors with mental illness enabling them to continue to live independently in their own homes or in Jewish Apartments and Services. Kadima provides monitoring of medication and support services to these adults so they are not prematurely placed in nursing homes.

Supported Employment

This is a joint project with Jewish Vocational Service and the Michigan Department of Career Development/Rehabilitation Services.

Clients are assessed for job readiness and skills. They are then helped in a supported job search teaching them interviewing skills and resume writing while actively looking for employment with the aid of a job developer.

When a job is secured, the client has a job coach to train him/her on the job.

Long term follow -along is provided on the job to ensure that the client is able to maintain the position. A staff person acts as an advocate for the client as needed. Visits to the job site are made regularly by the follow-along staff person.

Support Services

Counseling - Kadima therapists offer individual and group counseling services. Sessions generally take place in the Kadima office. Sessions with family members are scheduled as needed.

Support Groups - Clients meet in a group setting with a social worker at the Kadima office every other week. Groups meet on 3 different evenings of the week, Friday and Sunday afternoons. A family support group meets the first Wednesday of the month at the Kadima office.

Socialization Activities - Staff-organized and supervised activities are arranged at a minimum of once every other week in the evening. With support of community synagogues, temples, and organizations programming for Jewish holidays is a regular part of Kadima's scheduled activities.

Transportation - Clients are provided transportation by Kadima staff members for medical appointments, grocery shopping, and all Kadima sponsored activities and group meetings.

Respite - A Kadima staff member takes clients out into the community, one on one, for a social activity to provide respite for family caregivers.
