Write to Lose

A Food, Diet and Exercise Journal

Why WRITETOLOSE Works

Testimonials

Journal Cover

...My commitment to my daily journal was the key factor in losing 170 pounds. The journal was my doctor, my psychiatrist, my best friend and some days my enemy. Just recording my meals, feelings and progress gave me the ability me to step away and see myself as others might see me. The habit of tracking or watching my own behavior each day gave me the ability to look back on destructive self-defeating actions and find new ways to deal with life. There are a million diet plans out there most of us have tried at least one of them. Here's the one that really works, COUNT CALORIES, KEEP MOVING AND WRITE IT DOWN EVERYDAY. GOOD LUCK AND GOOD HEALTH.

WRITETOLOSE has been such a helpful tool for my clients to track, not only what they have eaten, but to set goals and evaluate their progress.

I would highly recommend this nutrition and exercise journal to any professional health counselor that is working with a clientele in need of accountability.

As a person who has been dealing with weight issues and eating habits all my life, I have used many food logs or food journals. I've had nutritionist have me journal my food as well as it being a part of weight watchers. Out of all the food journals I've ever used, I just love yours. Yours has been the only one I have continuously used. I love the setup and how it makes me accountable for my diet. I love the way it allows me to rate each part of my day. I rate my food intake and write down things I need to improve on.

In teaching my students about improving their nutritional habits, I stress the difference in the old Food Pyramid and the new MyPryamid, which includes physical exercise. Your journal like the new food pyramid includes the need for physical exercise. As a person who suffers from Sickle Cell Anemia, the exercise section allows me to rate my level of effort towards exercise. It also allows me to recognize the things that were great about my nutritional and physical day, as well as those things that were challenging. I don't use any other journals anymore. I only use yours and I always recommend it to people. I've even taken a pictur of the cover and use it as my screen saver on my cell phone as a constant reminder to journal. I carry it with me everywhere I go. By having it setup the way it is, every day is a new day. Some journals have a couple of days on the same page, which makes it a little difficult to feel as though you started over. It helps me to stay focused and lose a significant amount of weight. I getto see my mistakes as well as my accomplishments. It also keeps me on track of my water intake, which is necessary for my SC. I greatly look forward to the new book and helpful hints to come.

Also, thank you for the information on Geneen Roth and Dr. Stephen Gullo. I am looking into this avenue for help with emotional eating.

Thanks,
A. Kimble
